Looking for the bar? Our friends from Still Austin Whiskey Co will be on site serving their delicious cocktails. Coming by car? The Neill-Cochran House Museum features free parking behind the museum for attendees.

Cost: $10 for nonmembers, $5 for students. All proceeds support the Neill-Cochran House Museum.

This performance will be held primarily outside on the spacious front lawn with social distancing measures in place. Attendees are welcome to tour the Museum before the performance. For the safety of all guests, performers, and staff, we request that all visitors wear a mask while inside the Museum.

STORYTELLER BIOS

PAUL NORMANDIN

Paul Normandin is a large man with a big mouth who loves to tell stories to anyone who can’t outrun him. Paul learned to tell stories from the loving feedback of other people's children while teaching Sunday school for 13 years. Paul is an accomplished storyteller, improvisational comedian, actor, and Dean of the Merlin Works Institute for Improvisation.

ELLEN SWEETS

Ellen Sweets is an author and former reporter for the Dallas Morning News, the Denver Post, and the St Louis Post-Dispatch; and she's a freelance writer who has appeared in the Austin-American Statesman, the Texas Observer, the Texas Tribune, and Edible Austin. She's also the author of Stirring It Up with Molly Irvins, and a James Beard Award winner for her food writing.

Now retired, she spends her time writing, telling stories, and revolutionizing.

CHRIS MACK

Dr. Chris A. Mack is a former University of Texas professor, a current tech entrepreneur, and self-taught storyteller. When he is not desperately trying to keep up with software developers twice as bright and half his age, he enjoys time with his wife Susan and their two teenagers. Life is good.

ABEL LOMAS

Abel Lomas is no stranger to strangers. One of his favorite hobbies is meeting new people. Some would say he's never met a stranger and he's a magnet to some of the most unique people on the planet.

Abel is one of those people that never stops moving. He keeps himself busy as an improv actor with Yes Andersons, cycling, greeting anyone's dog, hiking, being silly, and keeping his bald head smooth. Right now he's super excited about the upcoming release of a new podcast he's co-hosting, called Everyday Idiots.

DEBORAH GOLDSTEIN

Deborah Goldstein is an editorial and marketing communications writer, dancer, and former improviser who seeks to discover the humorous side of life.

LADI LOERA

Ladi Loera is an artist, award winning storyteller, and animal lover. He's told stories for TestifyATX, I'm from Driftwood, Drinking with the Saints, and The Moth, where he won with a story about sympathetic nausea and what it teaches us about love and connection.

Ladi is also an award winning public speaker, and a native Texan who resides in Austin with his partner, and the cremains of two elderly cats. Mocha and Tragedy hated each other in life, but in death they sit side by side on the mantle.

SUSAN MACK (EMCEE)

A regular on the Austin storytelling performance scene, Susan Mack has more than 20 years experience with corporate and personal storytelling. She's currently pursuing her MFA with Vermont College of Fine Arts.
