Mark Smith’s The Hope Suite is a series of forty-four collages inspired by the theme of global unity. Each original 24 x 18 in. work on paper consists of a background monoprint or a digital photoprint, overlaid with collage, calligraphy, and mixed media. In 2019, the entire suite became part of the permanent collection of the Obama Presidential Center Museum in Chicago, Illinois. The works in this exhibition are limited-edition prints of those originals.
The Neill-Cochran House Museum invites you to an Opening Reception for The Hope Suite on June 2, 2022. Meet Mark Smith and see exhibition on display at the Museum. This reception is free and open to the public. Still Austin Whisky Co. will also be onsite serving delicious complimentary cocktails.
The reception will take place both inside and outside the Museum. We recommend that guests wear a mask while inside experiencing the exhibit.
The Hope Suite will be on display at the Neill-Cochran House Museum from May 25 through December 16, 2022. The Museum is open Wednesdays through Sundays from 11:00 AM until 4:00 PM.
