Austin Museum Day is a citywide event that offers free admission and includes special programs and activities at museums across the city.
At Austin Museum Day at the Neill-Cochran House Museum you can:
Enjoy lemonade and ice cream!
Listen to Appalachian music from Two Goat String Band
Meet Victorian ladies and Buffalo Soldiers
Enjoy seek-and-finds, lawn games, and math-based activities with Math Happens
Visit local vendors selling locally made goods
Tour the house and slave quarters for FREE all day

Make the NCHM a part of your Austin Museum Day. Enjoy the fun on the lawn, then come inside one of Austin’s oldest residences with free admission 11:00AM - 4:00PM. Living historians, audio tours, and scavenger hunts will bring Texas history to life. Math Happens will lead us in some STEM-inspired games. And enjoy the exhibition currently on view in the NCHM Gallery “Thoughts in Fiber: Work By Deborah A. Moore Harris.”
Staff and volunteers will be available to help and answers questions all day.
