On being a Friend of the Neill-Cochran House

We rely on our Friends to support the preservation of the historic home, to help us offer more programming and special events, and to be our advocates in their communities.

Members of the Friends get to know the museum behind-the-scenes through our members-only updates and invitations and also receive free or discounted admission to house tours and special events. Friends also join in our exclusive Friends’ Trips to reflect on local history in Texas and across the nation.

We strive to be successful and accountable stewards of Friends’ contributions in support of our continued work in the community. We further strive to share our successes with Friends and show the impact of the support that we receive.

Is preservation your passion, or would you like to join us in our work? Would you like to see one less mixed-use complex or apartment building replace a historic part of this central Austin landscape? Do you believe that offering people of all walks of life the chance to reflect and be curious about their and others’ past add value to the community? We invite you to get to know the house and the organization that supports it by paying us a visit, reading about our history, telling us what you think, and showing your support.

Have you been a Friend in the past and not sure if you’ve given recently? No problem! Contact us today and we can check our database. We can also accept sustaining or one-time gifts online.
